Review:
Like the last time Hunta performed with DJ Krash Slaughta as a special guest, second DJ has been DJ Seon! This time Gato had to perform without Frozen Brain, and he did very well! Can’t wait for the first release of these guys, it’s about time…it really is!
The Mantis Chapter a.k.a. TMC, representing Cambridge, did an absolute quality show. Acas13 and TSOne also been playing tracks from their new mini-album ‘Graveyard Poets’, availlable for the first time on the european mainland on that weekend. Hardly any albums in such quality coming ot these days, so go and get it! check the tracks out and buy it HERE for Germany and HERE for the UK. If you don’t feel em you must be dead!
As already been on stage before for the TMC collabo track ‘Dice With Death’ Hideouz was entering the stage followed up by DJ Psychopath. With one of their best performances so far Hideouz Newcome rocked the crowd well with bangers such as ‘You Cannot Overthrow Tha Devilcore’, ‘Journey Of Skillz’ and ‘Shadows Of The Past’. They’re working on new material, so keep an eye on that! Check out an interview with Hideouz Newcome, made by Underground United HERE. Their latest album, as the ones before – ‘Full Contact 1995′ are still available, get them HERE.
Intro-Killer Readykill came up on stage with some old tracks that has been never released like ‘Ten Bastards Attacked Us’, as heard on previous jams in the early to the mid nineties. but also they played the classic tunes such as ‘War Theatre Of Operations ’91′. They still know how to rock the crowd! This time Readykill performed with three people, MC ShootYaDead on the mic and Sleepwalker and DJ Shattahand on the decks!
Time for the dutch crew, the Sharpshootaz! performing some tracks of their 12″ as well as some previously unheard stuff they did well and the cowd obviously enjoyed it. With Raw G and MC Nitric on the mic and Dj Excalibur on the decks the guarantee of a great gig is issued! cant wait for another vinyl, hope theres something planned. If you did not get their 12inch yet do it HERE.
Next on stage: Killa Instinct. Needless to say that they absolutely rocked the crowd. Geta, Bandog and Krash Slaughta played slammer after slammer. Old stuff like ‘Bambi Murders’, ‘And Now The Screaming Starts’ as well as previously unreleased stuff from the 90s such as ‘Reality And Suffering’. But the Highlight has been the tracks from the new 12″ – Inhuman Monsta and Dead Man Walking. Apart from that every Killa 12inch ist a musthave this is one of the best they’ve ever done!
Last show this night was done by the almighty Blades, formerly known as Blades Of Hades. They came all the way from Newcastle, Australia to show the people over here that Britcore/Hardcore Rap isn’t only a european thing! Theyve played a couple of tracks from all their three albums (check them and an interview HERE, get the latest release HERE), one better than the other one. the crowd went mad, a shame that due to some technical problems at the beginning of the jam and also before their set some people already had left. But thats their own fault as they missed an awesome show, the Blades proved their live-qualities with tracks like ‘Kaos Orda’, ‘Blast opposition’ and ‘R.I.P’. if you ever get a chance to see the Blades (Of Hades) performing again…don’t miss it! Nuff said!
