Mass Hysteria Jam Part 6 – 07.08.2010
review and picture gallery soon to follow…
Well, finally the review of the Mass Hysteria Jam Part 6 (666). Mass Hysteria Jams will also take arest for a hopefully not to long period but Underground United will be busy with other projects in the meanwhile such as Underground United Volume 2, the follow up to Volume 1. This will be due in late 2011.
Before starting the review there must be mentioned that Blade unfortunetaly did not make it to Hamburg this time due to personal reasons. We hope to get him on here to another time, he can’t quit his career without visiting hamburg for a last gig we think, don’t you think?
The Naked Ape Family opened that night with performances by Killa Instinct, Sublime Wizardry, Monkeysons and Ill Inspired. With Sublime Wizardry presenting previously unheard tracks, Ill Inspired accelerating, Monkeysons playing a best of of their tunes and Killa Instinct playing old classics (but some that havent been played at all the recent gigs) as well as both the tracks from their newest release. There is more to be released of Killa Instinct soon! Monkeysons have split again but lets also hope for some wax of Sublime Wizardry and Ill Inspired. Definitly about time (I have said this to often now…bring us some!).
Next on the bill was Gambit of Last Resort fame. Hyperspeed Lyrics (without any breathing) on instrumentals from Hip Hop to Ragga to any other genre…very experimental indeed. He proved once again that he is absolutely able to drop the skills that he has showed on the previous releases such as Las Resort and also his first solo-album. I say first solo-album as there will be second one released (download only) in early 2012. Keep watching this space..!
Last but not least the mighty TCM crew came on stage. They played it all, from their debut to their last (so far, new release set for 2011) release. Beats have changed here and there due to unavailable instrumentals of older tracks but Iceski, Safe D, CMD (known as Grafik now) and DJ Spatts burnt that place down. Looking forward to the new release and ofcourse to new performances, too!
